About the Role:

As a member of the BGIS team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning and maintenance services to our clients. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean floors, walls, and other surfaces using various cleaning equipment and solutions
  • Operate floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, and materials
  • Strip, seal, and finish hard surface floors
  • Steam clean or shampoo carpets
  • Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Experience in performing cleaning and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items, as well as climb ladders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and talk or hear
  • Required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
