About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our General Wards and Intensive Care Unit teams. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients along a spectrum of case acuity. Your critical thinking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure will be essential to your success in this role.
About You:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Veterinary Technologists (Registered Veterinary Technologist designated preferred, but not required)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of normal vital parameters, and the ability to recognize changes and/or abnormalities
- Strong mathematics skills (drug dose calculations, CRI's, dilutions)
- Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn and to excel within the profession
- Ability to work with little or no supervision when necessary and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, computer and phone skills
- High level of professionalism
