At Ridgeline Equipment Ltd., a division of Equipment Corporation of America, we are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join our team in Metro Vancouver Regional District. As a key member of our mobile heavy equipment field service team, you will be responsible for repairing, servicing, and diagnosing a wide range of heavy equipment, including deep foundation drilling, cranes, pilling, and tieback drilling equipment, as well as construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, and rock trucks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions and repair as needed
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Conduct business on behalf of Ridgeline Equipment Ltd. in a professional manner and represent Ridgeline Equipment's culture to ensure fulfillment of company vision and values


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with large construction and heavy-duty construction and drilling equipment
  • Must include in-depth experience with Bauer, Klemm, Liebherr, Junttan, CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, and Hitachi
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Superior mechanical aptitude
  • Shop and/or field work experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team or alone in the field
  • Ability to lift and manage 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be a certified Red Seal HD Mechanic
  • Class 1 or 3 license is an asset but not required
  • Must have own tools

Experience:

  • Mechanical: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician Certification (preferred)
  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician Certification (preferred)
