Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Administering accounts receivable and accounts payable;
  • Verifying and processing invoices, coding payment requests, and expense accounts;
  • Performing monthly reconciliations between general ledgers and sub-ledgers, and entering journal entries;
  • Preparing various month-end, quarterly, year-end, and ad-hoc reports;
  • Entering data on revenues, expense accounts, and suppliers into the financial system, validating, and correcting as required;
  • Analyzing discrepancies between the financial and operational systems;
  • Ensuring matching between financial system and control files;
  • Producing monthly tax reports;

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A DEP or DEC in administration/accounting or any other combination of equivalent and relevant experience;
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' relevant experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of taxes (GST, HST, QST);
  • Knowledge of the Oracle financial system will be considered an advantage;
  • Good oral and written skills in one of both official languages at BBB level.
