Job Summary

Roquette is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply instructions and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and processes.
  • Respect and apply all food safety, personal safety, and quality instructions in accordance with procedures and policies.
  • Monitor industrial equipment safely and efficiently, including automated processes, laboratory control, manual tasks, basic maintenance tasks, workshop cleaning, and forklift operation.
  • Conduct diagnosis following process incidents, ensure proper functioning of equipment, and report anomalies to team leaders.
  • Perform basic maintenance operations to ensure equipment is in good repair.
  • Responsible for maintenance diagnostic, record maintenance work orders in SAP, and ensure safe maintenance interventions.
  • Responsible for safety control of equipment in case of safety incidents.
  • Participate in process optimization projects.
  • Perform cleaning of workshop and surroundings according to established schedule.
  • Responsible for chemical cleaning of equipment, respecting safety rules, quality, and production instructions.
  • Recognize and apply quality provisions of system of concern: procedures, instructions, managed lists.
  • Write, revise, or update SOPs as required.
  • Detect operational risk and prevent hazardous situations.
  • Participate in incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
  • Responsible for in-process sampling, analysis, and transferring QC samples to main lab.
  • Responsible for recording manufacturing information in digital tools or paper reports.
  • Contribute to regular safety testing on industrial equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 or GED.
  • 5+ years' experience working as part of an hourly production team member in an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally in food processing or oil and gas industry.
  • Must be available to do extended hours (evenings and weekends) based on production needs and willing to do overtime.
Working Conditions
  • Outdoor work and exposure to seasonal conditions.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs.
  • Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, climbing stairs, and other physically demanding tasks performed regularly during shift.
  • Use of safety harness and other PPE to climb and work at heights and handle chemicals.
  • Use of various chemicals ranging in temperatures from 20 degrees to 95 degrees Celsius using suitable PPEs.
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and unpleasant odors.
  • Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable, but PPEs will be provided.
  • Occasional exposure to indoor temperatures with high humidity exceeding 40C.
  • Wear protective equipment including specialized uniforms, safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed work boots, gloves, and hardhat.
