Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Scheduler to join the Home Support team at Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling Community Health Workers (Home Support Workers) in accordance with established policies and procedures, client care plans, and applicable collective agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the Home Support Services Manager or Coordinator.
  • Coordinate and schedule Community Health Workers (Home Support Workers) in accordance with established policies and procedures, client care plans, and applicable collective agreements.
  • Perform outside of work on-call duties.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 with course work in health care, computer training, and scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven proficient computer skills.
  • Physical and mental ability to carry on the duties of the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with others.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
