Achieving Success through Strategic Account Management



The Account Manager will be responsible for growing profit for Univar's market share by utilizing a consultative selling process. This involves identifying and capturing new business opportunities at existing accounts and prospective new accounts.




  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance customer relationships and drive business growth.
  3. Collaborate with the Sales Manager to identify new sales opportunities and develop sales strategies to achieve targets.
  4. Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information and maintain accurate records.
  5. Lead joint calls with Univar and Supplier Technical Service Specialists to address customer needs and provide solutions.
  6. Ensure a high-integrity sampling program for key customers and maintain high customer service levels.
  7. Co-ordinate with Customer Service and Operations to resolve customer complaints efficiently.
  8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  9. Co-ordinate with the Purchasing department to ensure product availability and negotiate optimal pricing.
  10. Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure the success of the Sales team.


Requirements




  2. At least 2-3 years of sales and/or customer-facing experience.
  3. Chemical sales experience is an asset, but not required.
  4. Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  5. Strong organization and time management skills.
  6. A self-motivated and eager individual with a strong desire to achieve sales targets.
