About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at the YMCA of Niagara. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office building and various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Cleaning Duties: Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Sanitation and Disinfection: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a non-smoking work environment.
  • Transportation: Ensure you have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance is an asset.
  • Availability: Availability to work 9 hours per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
