We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sports Content Editor to join our team at theScore. As a key member of our editorial department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and consistency of our sports content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit and publish sports-related content, including articles, features, and captions, to meet theScore's high editorial standards.
  • Collaborate with our team of news editors to ensure that all content is accurate, engaging, and meets the needs of our audience.
  • Provide editorial guidance and feedback to news editors to help them improve their writing and editing skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sports news and developments to ensure that our content is relevant and timely.
  • Work closely with our design and production teams to ensure that all content is visually appealing and meets theScore's brand standards.
  • Contribute to the development of our editorial guidelines and policies to ensure that they are comprehensive and effective.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of sports, including the four major professional sports leagues, NCAA football and basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and MMA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Flexibility with regards to scheduling, with the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Previous experience in sports media or a related field is an asset.
