About the Role

This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and timely. You will ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patients' needs and counsel with patients regarding their medication use. A key aspect of this role is providing friendly, positive, and proactive interactions with internal and external customers while creating awareness and educating customers through public relations.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
  • Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients' needs
  • Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and Doctor's requests/issues
  • Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
  • Provide ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs)
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills
  • Proven ability to build business using community-based marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy systems (asset)

The estimated salary for this role is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
