About the Role:

As a key member of our team at Miller Paving AMC, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction and highway maintenance divisions. Your expertise in contract analysis and procurement will be essential in navigating complex contracts and deciphering project plans to build projects and estimates per specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate material and quantity take-offs to ensure project estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Assist in preparing detailed estimates from first principles, analyzing cost history for reference when required.
  • Solicit quotations and engage in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible deals.
  • Attend pre-bid, post-bid, and post-award meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Perform market analytics and market soundings to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, including project managers and senior leadership.
  • Maintain close contact with project managers to ensure contract compliance and government regulations are met.
