Job Title: Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at Dennis Group Canada Inc.

Job Summary

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and electronic systems and equipment. This includes conducting feasibility studies, preparing cost estimates, and supervising the installation and operation of these systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies and design operation and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks
  • Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Design electrical and electronic components, systems, and equipment
  • Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Investigate electrical or electronic failures
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and electronic systems design and development
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to travel
