Job Description

Astra North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing security controls for cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Security Controls: Develop and implement security controls for cloud-based solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Support Security Operations: Provide support for security operations functions, including incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
  • Lead Security Assessments: Lead security assessments and authorization activities for IT systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop Security Policies: Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the security of cloud-based systems.
  • Monitor Security Dashboards: Monitor security dashboards in Azure Sentinel/Azure Security Center/Office 365 to identify potential security threats and take corrective action.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with business and IT teams to resolve security-related issues and ensure the security of cloud-based systems.
  • Guide Junior Teams: Guide junior security operations teams in incident response and security operations functions.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to ensure the security of cloud-based systems.
Requirements:
  • 4+ Years of Experience: 4+ years of experience in information security, cloud security, or a related field.
  • Cloud Security Expertise: Expertise in cloud security, including cloud security architecture, cloud security controls, and cloud security monitoring.
  • Security Certifications: Security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate security-related information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SIEM Tools: Experience with SIEM tools and platforms, such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel.
  • Protocol Analysis: Experience with protocol analysis using tools such as Wireshark, Gigastor, Netwitness.
  • Security Assessments: Experience with security assessments and authorization activities for IT systems.
  • ITSG-33 Requirements: Strong understanding of ITSG-33 requirements and Government of Canada Security Assessment process.
