Linux/DevOps Engineer

At Guidepoint, we're seeking a skilled Linux/DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in building and maintaining our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and security harden CentOS OS Linux
  • Install and configure Apache, Vhosts, SSL, and modules
  • Install PHP, configure PECL/PEAR libraries, and PHP.ini
  • Setup database connectivity to MySQL via UnixODBC and FreeTDS
  • Install and setup Solr, Elasticsearch
  • Install, manage, and maintain Redis for RedisCluster
  • Install SupervisorD
  • Install RabbitMQ in HA cluster mode
  • Install and configure Nginx, NodeJS, Socket.io, AngularCLI, and Forever
  • Deploy and configure software on application servers
  • Deploy IaC through Terraform in Azure
  • Configure IaC of Azure cloud infrastructure using Ansible

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Linux/DevOps Engineer
  • 4+ years of experience with Linux System Administration
  • Experience working within the Azure Cloud highly preferred
  • Versed at setting up SystemD processes, Cron jobs, SELINUX, parsing logfiles, configuring logical and physical partitions
  • 2+ years of experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • 1+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines
  • Some SQL skills preferred
  • Comfortable with Git/ BitBucket
  • Comfortable with proxying, load balancing, sticky sessions, regex, modifying headers, LUA scripting
