**About the Role**

McMaster University is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Facility Services team as they embark on ambitious new capital projects, drive sustainability initiatives, and advance the academic mission of the institution.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and management of the construction and technical services division.
  • Oversee comprehensive aspects of construction and facilities management, including complex capital projects from inception to completion.
  • Advise on policies, ensure efficient service delivery, and support the institution's green initiatives.
  • Direct facilities design, construction, and renovations, ensuring technical accuracy, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage project teams, oversee contract procedures and safety, evaluate staff, and prepare project submissions for review.

**Requirements**

  • Master's degree in engineering or architecture, or a related field.
  • More than 10 years of experience in Design and Construction Management, leading large, complex, and multi-stakeholder construction projects.
  • Proven expertise in asset management and project management within a unionized setting.
  • Strong technical skills, passion for team leadership, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
