About the Role:

We are seeking an Intermediate Irrigation Engineer to join our team in Western Canada. As a member of our irrigation team, you will play a key role in delivering water conveyance projects related to irrigation and irrigation planning for government, municipal, and private sector clients. These projects may include greenfield infrastructure, expansion/upgrades to existing systems, and rehabilitation.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Undertake engineering studies, engineering design and document preparation, and related field work or investigations as required.
  • Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications related to irrigation planning and design and other related water conveyance projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients or other consultants.
  • Assist in proposal preparation where required.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Attend in house and formal training sessions to ensure continuing professional development.
  • Follow Stantec's Environmental Health and Safety protocols and processes.

Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in water conveyance projects, focusing on irrigation planning and design.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration with APEGA in Alberta.
