Esthetic Instructor

We are seeking an experienced instructor to teach students in the Esthetics program at Vancouver Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, preparing teaching materials, and assessing student progress.

• 
  
• Teach students using a variety of instructional methods and tools, including lectures, presentations, demonstrations, and discussions.
  
• Develop curriculum and prepare teaching materials, including audiovisual and web-related materials.
  
• Prepare, administer, and mark assessments to evaluate student progress and provide detailed feedback.
  
• Provide individualized or group tutorial instruction to students who require additional support.
  
• Maintain effective stewardship of classroom facilities, equipment, and materials.
  
• Supervise independent or group projects, field placements, and hands-on training.
  
• Adhere to VCC policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of student information.
  
• Participate in departmental and college meetings, events, and committees.

• Certificate or diploma from a recognized institution in the field, or equivalent.
  
• At least eight years recent experience in industry.
  
• BC Provincial Instructor's Diploma, equivalent, or willingness to complete within five years.
  
• Ability to effectively relate to a diverse adult student body and possess excellent communication skills in the English language.
  
• Previous teaching, mentoring, or supervisory experience with learners.
  
• Possess a high degree of professionalism and ability to instruct in all levels of training in their field.
