Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Peak Childcare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes leading activities, preparing snacks, and engaging children in various activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a child care centre with a team of experienced educators and support staff. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
