The Cowichan Valley Department of Psychiatry at Island Health is seeking a General Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) programs, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of psychiatry services in our region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric services to patients in the Cowichan Valley, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, community services, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Consult with the MHSU program to provide support and guidance on mental health and substance use issues.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and provide reports to the Department of Psychiatry meetings.
