Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Hope Wellness Centre Inc.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients in their homes and in our care facilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with medication administration and monitoring
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Transport patients to and from appointments and activities
  • Provide basic first aid and respond to emergencies
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
