About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at Sofa By Fancy Ltd. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, bespoke furniture pieces that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts to ensure the longevity of our products.
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install upholstery to create visually appealing and comfortable furniture pieces.
  • Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons to add a touch of elegance to our furniture.
  • Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore them to their original glory.
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to create intricate designs and patterns.
  • Garnish the bottom and back of a seat with interwoven rattan to add a natural touch to our furniture.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the furniture industry.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling are also required for this position.
