Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our team at Island Health. As a member of our Priority Response Team (PRT), you will work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to emergent referrals or consults from primary care providers to assess and treat housebound patients
- Screen and triage patients referred for priority care
- Offer clinical assessments, including examining patients and reviewing relevant patient medical records
- Diagnose and form treatment plans for acutely ill patients
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA)
- Rural CME starting at $2,000 per annum in years 3-4, then increasing to a maximum of $4,000 after 4 years in the community
