Houseperson/Runner Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Houseperson/Runner Attendant to join our team at the Four Points by Sheraton - Kelowna Airport. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance, adhering to our hotel's uniform and grooming standards.
  • Arrive on time for shifts and be prepared to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, including stripping guest rooms, making beds, collecting soiled linens, and collecting garbage.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Multi-task and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion of duties.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Be knowledgeable about our hotel's facilities and services, promoting and directing guests to relevant areas.
  • Assist with laundry, washing, and delivering linen to floors, as well as sorting the laundry chute.
  • Transport and distribute laundry to designated locations.
  • Stock storage rooms with guest supplies for Room Attendants.
  • Clean linen rooms and electrical rooms.
  • Follow lost and found procedures, bagging and tagging items accurately.
  • Handle chemicals responsibly, adhering to MSDS guidelines.
  • Stock housekeeping carts with linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials.
  • May be required to clean guest rooms and complete stayover cleans for in-house guests.
  • Participate in brand trainings and complete all required certifications.
  • Assist other departments as needed and resolve any challenges that may arise.
  • Work varied shifts, including days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participate in property walks and parking lot cleanups.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures and communicate any concerns or issues to management.
  • Assist with cross-training and working at sister properties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and a self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada without restriction.
