We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Barber Private Household. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, ensuring that all areas are tidy and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens.
  • Shopping and Errands: Shop for food and household supplies.
  • Other Duties: Wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.

Requirements:

  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, reliability, honesty.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of Work: 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Transportation: Public transportation available.
