About the Role

Graham is seeking an experienced Construction Project Director to lead complex construction projects in the ICI buildings sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong client focus, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engage preconstruction in preparing, revising, and monitoring information related to costs involved in developing the project budget.
  2. Oversee the subcontracting process, including facilitating initial scope review meetings, finalizing agreed processes, developing subcontract scopes of work, and managing the subcontract distribution and final execution process.
  3. Oversee budget estimates and deliverables to the client.
  4. Develop and maintain organizational responsibility matrices and approve project resources as required.
  5. Review contract documents with project participants and the commercial manager to ensure terms are clear on deliverables.
  6. Develop and maintain regular status reports for company executives and client committees/representatives.
  7. Ensure project schedule, milestone dates, and closeout checklist are prepared and maintained during the project lifecycle.
  8. Establish and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, construction joint venture partners, financing partners, key specialist subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  9. Act with integrity, supporting the company's values and employees, while meeting or exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
  10. Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with internal and external parties.
  11. Participate in industry, client, and community relations to enhance and promote Graham.
  12. Seek new business opportunities through relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. A minimum of 15+ years of direct construction project management experience in the ICI buildings sector.
  2. Technical diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  3. Extensive knowledge of construction methods and project management processes across contract types.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex construction projects in the Commercial, Manufacturing, or Post-Secondary space.
  5. Ability to train project staff in all aspects of project requirements.
  6. Strong skills in stakeholder management and a detailed understanding of commercial and contract terms.
