Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist
Location: Canada
Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
- The Cybersecurity Service Area will assist in maturing and improving cybersecurity operations, practices, controls, and architecture to ensure the protection of data and technology assets.
- This Service Area will help identify security vulnerabilities and develop action plans to address them, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
- This Service Area includes, but is not limited to:
- Analyzing business impact and risk, based on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, and identifying actions to mitigate the risks.
- Conducting security reviews of new technologies and systems to ensure they meet the required security standards.
- Developing and maintaining reports, scorecards, and metrics related to cybersecurity operations and initiatives.
- Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, and assisting with the development of remediation action plans.
- Assisting with the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and any enhancements to existing security solutions.
- Periodically reviewing, analyzing, and updating documented security practices, procedures, processes, and controls, and assisting in the development of new practices and procedures.
- Assisting with the design, deployment, integration, and initial configuration of new security solutions.
- Monitoring and continually fine-tuning advanced threat detection technology controls and practices in accordance with current vulnerabilities, risks, threats, and best practices.
- Assisting with security incident response and recovery efforts, coordinating communication between teams and stakeholders.
- Identifying the source of security breaches and investigating intrusions to determine the root causes and extent of the breach.
- Conducting server forensics, network forensics, log analysis, and malware triage in support of incident response investigations.
- Facilitating the ongoing Cybersecurity awareness program and assisting with training programs.
