At Sagkeeng Child & Family Services, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Casual Support Worker to provide support services for our children and families. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the field of social services while making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
The ideal candidate will have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to write clear and concise notes. A valid First Aid and CPR certification is preferred but not required. If you are a mature, responsible, and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting children and families, we encourage you to apply.
- Safe and timely transport of children or families to and from family visits/appointments
- Supervision of family visits, ensuring all are safe
- Provide support to children in care and families
- Detailed note writing and documentation
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum completion of high school, or a combination of education and related experience may be considered. You must also possess a valid Class 5F Driver's license, full access to a safe and insured vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability, and satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry, and Drivers Abstract checks. Active cellular phone and proof of double Covid-19 Vaccination are also required.
