About the Role

CertainTeed Canada, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Corporate Engineering team in Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth and success as a Top Employer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional leadership for major capital project installations, from initial budget requests to commissioning, in a World Class Manufacturing environment.
  • Develop and maintain sound business relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Optimize project execution plans, including critical path schedules, resource plans, and budget and variance reports.
  • Collaborate with global project management experts to ensure Best Practice implementation.
  • Direct project engineers and coordinate external vendors and installation contractors.

Requirements
  • Recognized Project Management Expert with experience in directing engineering, consulting, and construction resources in heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated record of project assignments completed on/under budget and on/ahead of required dates.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Five to Ten years of related industrial, engineering, or contracting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management training and certifications.
  • Professional Engineering registration.
  • Gypsum technical expert.
Working Conditions

The position requires some travel (20%) overnight, primarily in Canada, and considerable time spent in heavy manufacturing environments and construction job sites.
