Autism Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Autism Instructor to join our team at ABA Autism Services INC. As an Autism Instructor, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be patient, understanding, and able to work effectively with clients of varying abilities. You will provide support and guidance to help clients develop life skills, achieve independence, and participate fully in their communities.

• Assess clients' cognitive, social, and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals and develop individualized education and intervention plans
• Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs and facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives
• Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure smooth operations and effective service delivery
• Provide job training and support to clients, helping them to develop skills and confidence
• Instruct students in reading and writing braille, lip-reading, finger spelling, and sign language, as well as the use of rehabilitative techniques, prosthetic devices, and wheelchairs

• Certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, preferably in a field related to disability rehabilitation
• At least 7 months of experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community partners
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills

• A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Please note that this is a permanent, full-time position, requiring a 40-hour workweek. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is an asset.
