Equipment Associate Job Description

At United Rentals, Inc., we're committed to providing our customers with the best equipment and service. As an Equipment Associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our branches.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect rental equipment for damage, hours used, mileage, and fuel level upon return to the branch.
  2. Verify safety compliance and ensure equipment is in good working order.
  3. Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
  4. Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
  5. Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers, as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  3. Effective communication, multi-tasking, and strong teamwork skills.
  4. Diligent attention to safety.
  5. Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is considered Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
