Bantrel Co is seeking a highly skilled Technical Handover Coordinator to join our Infrastructure team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the handover process between various contracts in line with the Program Handover Procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Handover Coordination: Ensure that handover deliverables and documentation are planned and executed in a consistent manner, taking into account varying contract mechanisms, customer requirements, and local regulations.
- Process Development: Support the development of Project Systems Completion and Handover processes, ensuring the streamlined movement of assets and information from contractors to end-users.
- Asset Data Management: Coordinate with contractors to ensure Asset Data Management is aligned with customer expectations, resulting in a comprehensive asset handover process.
- T-minus Regime: Develop and implement a T-minus regime leading up to each handover, clearly showing the status of key components and deliverables required to achieve the handover.
- Project Scheduling: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project schedules are developed and implemented, providing deliverables in a timely and cost-effective manner to all stakeholders.
- Earned Value Approach: Develop and maintain an earned value approach, reconciling the backwards pass and forwards pass, and producing a handover S-curve based on varying types of deliverables for each handover package.
- Meeting Coordination: Coordinate meetings with contractors to review project handover work schedules.
- Performance Tracking: Track and monitor performance against project requirements, quality measures, milestones, and KPIs.
- Technical Reporting: Provide technical analytics and progress reporting to executive and senior stakeholders, across handover deliverables within the program technical team.
- A recognized bachelor's or master's degree in civil or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience.
- Experience in managing testing, commissioning, or handover in rail, transit, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in project coordination, technical support, or handover processes within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to prepare clear strategic planning procedures and user-friendly templates to assist multiple delivery units in executing common approaches.
- Experience with handover work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team player approach and knowledge-sharing mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of coordinating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Self-driven with the ability to plan and execute work without direct supervision.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Flexibility to adapt to a demanding PMO environment.
