We are a leading transportation company seeking an experienced Truck Trailer Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Responsibilities: As a Truck Trailer Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks and trailers;
  • Inspecting mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions;
  • Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components as needed;
  • Estimating parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs;
  • Providing excellent customer service and advising clients on work performed and future repair requirements;
  • Completing reports to record problems and work performed;
  • Cooling and instructing apprentices.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • Experience in the heavy equipment or transportation industry (an asset);
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • A valid driver's license.
