Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and mentor more junior engineers.
  • Contribute to the team's technical strategy and deliver excellent designs and code.
  • Solve complex technical challenges with customer obsession.
  • Work and collaborate in an agile team to deliver results and meet commitments.
  • Own and maintain distributed, fault-tolerant, highly available, and scalable services.
  • Assist in developing project plans and meeting customer commitments.
  • Strive to constantly improve operational practices and CI/CD practices.
  • Work with other engineers to diagnose and resolve customer issues, including as part of on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Amazon is a total compensation company, offering equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
