Job Title: Microsoft Power BI Data Modeler

Astra North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a skilled Microsoft Power BI Data Modeler to join our team. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying complex data models and reports using Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate Excel reports to Power BI and establish data connections to various data sources, including Postgres DB, XSOAR, JIRA, CEDAR, and RACER data warehouses.
  • Create and maintain complex data models using Power BI desktop and Power Query.
  • Design, build, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize Power BI performance, resolving issues related to accessibility and data refresh.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience working with Power BI in a business intelligence or data analyst role.
  • Strong understanding of Power BI desktop, Power BI service, and Power Query.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, DAX Expressions, and visualization best practices.
  • Experience with RLS and automated report refresh schedules in Power BI.
  • Experience with Excel and VBA.
  • Experience working with large datasets from various data sources.
  • Experience with Python and Unix/Linux terminal an asset.
