Job Summary

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our retail operations. This dynamic role requires a customer-focused individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist customers by promoting products, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up product displays.
  • Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, securing merchandise, and identifying high-shrink items, maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Receive and stock merchandise, utilizing equipment and administering required paperwork and documentation.
  • Refer service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
  • Stock merchandise, pick items, and downstock as necessary, applying product protection when required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods, with regular breaks.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
