Job Description

At BRITTON\u2019S YOUR INDEPENDENT GROCER, we are seeking a skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and keeping the stockroom tidy.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management by counting and reconciling stock, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading trucks and placing merchandise on shelves.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and inviting store environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
