Store Manager Job Description

As a Store Manager at Marshalls, you will be responsible for leading a team of Associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales results. Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of Associates to achieve sales results, control expenses, and reduce shrink and damage
  • Direct accountability for recruitment, training, and Associate development, performance, and customer experience
  • Ensuring TJX Canada programs, procedures, and policies are communicated and executed to reduce risk and expenses
  • Providing input on succession plans to meet future needs and ensuring each Associate has a development plan that supports their growth and career aspirations
  • Developing and communicating action plans to Store teams, identifying upcoming projects, targets, priorities, company initiatives, events, promotions, or any other store initiatives that require future planning

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years management experience in Retail, including operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner and positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the Company
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and prioritize activities and resources in a fast-paced changing store environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering, and coaching
