About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to animal care and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients, working closely with our veterinarians, and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgery and anesthesia
- Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by veterinarians
- Provide wound care and bandage management
- Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on animal behavior and nutrition
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment
- Registration as a Registered Animal Health Technologist or Registered Veterinary Technician with a provincial or territorial, or regional association
- 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
