About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Gas Bar Attendant at EastHill Esso. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, receive payment for goods or services, and provide change as needed.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and well-stocked store environment, including restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Verify Age for Restricted Products: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
  • Operate Interac Machine and Price Scanner: Accurately operate the Interac machine and price scanner to process transactions and maintain inventory.
  • Use Computerized Inventory Record Keeping and Re-ordering System: Maintain accurate inventory records and re-order stock as needed to ensure a well-stocked store environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player skills.
