Role Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Backend Engineer to take a pivotal role in our expanding backend engineering team. Our real-time advertising bidding system processes over 3,000,000 requests per second and manages several terabytes of data daily. Our technology stack includes Go, Ruby on Rails, Aerospike, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RocksDB, Redshift, ScyllaDB, GraphQL, among others. We embrace the exploration of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to establish first-party and third-party data integration with external data sources.
  • Integrate data into StackAdapt's Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Design scalable, low-latency backend systems and data pipelines, writing code as necessary to support the team.
  • Provide technical leadership in crafting scalable solutions and best practices.
  • Enhance the team's productivity and growth through positive contributions.
  • Advocate for software development best practices and conduct thorough code reviews.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges rigorously.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Adtech or Martech is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in building scalable pipelines and services.
  • Experience managing large data in low-latency environments.
  • A minimum of 5 years in software development, focusing on distributed systems, scalable microservices, and data pipelines within a high-growth technology company.
  • A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Current knowledge and experience with the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Go and high-performance databases is a plus.
