About the Role

Select People Solutions is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our client's dedicated team in Lethbridge, AB.

Job Summary

This key position oversees AR, AP, and inventory processing, ensuring accurate and timely transactions. The successful candidate will produce month-end consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements, providing valuable insights. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining budgets, completing reconciliations, subledgers, intercompany accounts, and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards while working collaboratively with senior management.
  • Preparing for external audits and developing process documentation.
  • Managing the chart of accounts, including updates for new business lines and product expansions.
  • Overseeing cash management, daily reporting, and government filings.
  • Actively contributing to ERP implementation and financial process improvements.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior accounting staff.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 4+ years experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, or Accounting Technician.
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting or Business Finance.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to mentor/develop a team.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain financial reporting to all skill levels.
  • Must have own, reliable transportation.
