Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

At Jiffy Express Inc., we are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, typically exceeding 100 miles, to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of hours of service, fuel consumption, and cargo information.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
