Job Summary:

At Wright Canada Holdings Ltd., we're seeking a highly skilled Water Truck Driver to join our team in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a crew in a physically demanding environment, ensuring that client-specified areas and vegetation are watered for the spring and summer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate water trucks and dump trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Adhere to safety procedures when transporting hazardous materials.
  • Inspect loads to guarantee cargo is secure.
  • Maintain accurate records of working hours and vehicle service or repair status, adhering to relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of motor vehicles.
  • Follow established safety protocols for vehicle operation.
  • Verify that cargo is properly loaded or secured.
  • Record operational or production data accurately.
  • Participate in other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Motivation to manage time efficiently.
  • The capacity to operate and maintain all required tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in an environment with excessive noise from machinery, chainsaws, and woodchippers while wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record and air brakes endorsement (an asset).
  • Capacity to work extended hours, including overtime during emergencies, holidays, weekends, and storm work, subject to call-out work.
  • Valid First-Aid and CPR certification.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
