This position reports to the Manager, Operations Engineering. The successful candidate will support Inter Pipeline's strategies to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of all assets, manage operating expenses, and complete construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope out projects, prepare cost estimates, and make recommendations on preferred solutions.
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are notified and involved in proposed changes.
- Coordinate and manage field inspectors, contractors, and other vendors as required.
- Provide engineering expertise for equipment, day-to-day operations, and maintenance of pipeline systems.
- Respond to field, management, and technical requests as required.
Requirements
- An engineering degree (preferably mechanical) and registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer.
- 5 or more years of related industry experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledgeable in current operating standards, codes, rules, and regulations that relate to process engineering and pipeline facility design.
