The Role

We're seeking an experienced Major Gifts Officer to support our CEO in developing and implementing fundraising initiatives for major gifts, legacy giving, and communications. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating and executing long-term strategies for major gift and legacy giving programs, as well as leading communications and marketing efforts.

You will work closely with our Community Impact team to align donor passions with community strategies and impact initiatives. In this role, you'll also collaborate with our communications and marketing firm to execute effective public relations and strategic communications, building our brand and strengthening relationships with key partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Major Gift and Legacy Giving programs
  • Lead Communications and Marketing efforts
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors
  • Work with colleagues and volunteers to achieve program goals
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field and/or relevant experience
  • Background in fundraising, special events, marketing, and communications
  • Experience in the voluntary/not-for-profit sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized systems and CRM software
