**About the Role**


We're seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to building platform-level capabilities for the Stripe Dashboard. As a full stack engineer, you'll work on building user-facing experiences spanning both the frontend stack and backend platform to solve critical business problems for Stripe Merchants.



**Responsibilities**



  • Develop software services and platforms that impact millions of Stripe users
  • Ensure our platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible
  • Design future-proof interfaces that are easy to build against
  • Make effective trade-offs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
  • Help drive sound technical decision-making and lead technical conversations with other teams across Monograph
  • Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack


**Requirements**



  • 3+ years of full stack engineering experience building end-to-end user solutions
  • Mastery of one or more programming languages such as Ruby, Python, or Go, and frontend experience with React and either Typescript or Javascript
  • Experience debugging complex problems across the whole stack
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment involving engineers, designers, and others to identify high-impact ways of solving problems quickly
  • Excellent oral and written communication


**Preferred Qualifications**



  • Strives for simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and has a good intuition for what will last and scale well
  • Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable systems while understanding UX best practices for the frontend
  • Can put themselves in the shoes of their users to understand their needs and fit that into the bigger picture
  • Experience with building software for fellow developers
  • Stitches together many different services and processes, even if they have not worked with them before


**Location**


This role is available either in an office or a remote location. As a remote location, it is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Monograph office.



**Benefits**


As a Monograph employee, you'll receive a competitive salary range of C$172,000 - C$258,000, equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
