Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our team as a Mobile X-Ray professional. In this role, you will be responsible for providing mobile x-ray services to clients in the community, ensuring high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with mobile x-ray equipment and a strong understanding of radiation health and safety regulations. You will be required to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, and adhere to all relevant Acts, Regulations, and policies of St. Michael's HealthCare Services.

Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis.
- Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.
- Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment.
- Adhere to all Acts, Regulations, and policies of St. Michael's HealthCare Services and ensure compliance with Radiation Health and Safety.
- Provide patient-centered care and maintain regulatory and administrative standards.
- Promote mobile x-ray services by delivering excellent customer service.
- Clean and maintain mobile x-ray equipment and client contact surfaces.
- Assess client needs and adjust procedures as required.

Requirements

- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
- Current registration in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists.
- Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with computer billing or Med-Access software.
