At Patch Tech Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Networking Architectural Lead to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the design and implementation of secure and scalable cloud environments on Azure.

About the Role

This position requires a strong networking background with experience in transitioning skills to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging Palo Alto technologies to ensure robust security in cloud environments.

  • Design and Implement Secure Cloud Network Architectures: The Cloud Networking Architectural Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud network architectures on Azure, incorporating Palo Alto Networks VM-Series firewalls and Prisma Cloud security platform.
  • Azure B2B/B2C Integration: This role involves leading the design and implementation of secure connectivity solutions for Azure B2B and B2C environments, ensuring seamless and secure integration with on-premises and cloud resources.
  • VNA Management: The Cloud Networking Architectural Lead will deploy and manage Palo Alto Networks VNAs (Virtual Network Appliances) in Azure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Security Policy Management: This position requires developing and implementing security policies using Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Prisma Cloud to protect cloud workloads and data.
  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code: The successful candidate will automate cloud deployments and security configurations using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot Network and Security Issues: This role involves troubleshooting network and security issues in the cloud environment and participating in incident response activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Networking Foundation: A solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs) with hands-on experience in network administration and troubleshooting.
  • Palo Alto Networks Experience: Proven experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (physical and virtual), Panorama management, and Prisma Cloud security platform.
  • Azure Expertise: Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Automation Skills: Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM templates for automating cloud deployments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
