About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a Cardiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases in children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases in children
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
  • Prescribe medication and treatment
  • Refer patients for surgery
  • Treat diseases and physiological disorders
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Supervise laboratory activities
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in cardiology
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular diseases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
