About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Staff Member to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and will be able to work well under pressure. You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies, as well as preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas;
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items;
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware;
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment;
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables;
  • Take customers' orders;
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used;
  • Package take-out food;
  • Portion and wrap foods;
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas;
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs;
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash;
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors;
  • Sharpen kitchen knives;
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit;

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment;
  • Able to work well under pressure;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Able to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods;
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;
